POLICE QUESTION CUSTOMES OFFICERS OVER FATAL SHOOTING Kuala Langat - Police have questioned two custom s officers in connection with the fatal shooting of a suspect at a traffic junction in Jejarum. They have also seized the firearms and the motorcycle used by the officers and a lorry laden with kretek believed to have been smuggled. Two customs officers had opened fire at three men in a car about 11.30 p.m. The officers had suspected that the three were on the lookout or customs men. Magistrate Ahmad Bazli Bahruddin, ruled that the police returned fire in self-defence and acted in reasonable manner. COP SUSPENDED AFTER SHOOTING INCIDENT Bukit Mertaja - The policeman who was involved in the shooting of a discotheque bouncer has been suspended from working pending investigation into the incident. The suspect was on a motorcycle and the detective gave chase for about 2km and cornered him at an oil palm estate. THREE SHOT DEAD Kuala Lumpur - Police shot dead three notorious kidnappers , in a gun battle following a high speed chase in Ulu Tiram, Kulai, Johor hours after they released the daughter of a local businessman. 111. INDON SHOT DEAD AFTER SILITTING BOY'S THROAT. Lahad Datu - Police shot dead an illegal Indonesian immigrant who slit the throat of a seven-year-old boy whom he had been holding hostage for eight hours. Another child, a five-year-old, girl who was abducted earlier, was rescued. It was learnt that the suspect, an immigrant from Central Sulawesi was an ex-convict. Witnesses said the drama started at about 6am when the suspect was involved in a heated argument with two men and a woman, believed to be family members. The argument ended in knife fight. The suspect, who was hurt on the head during the fight grabbed the girl, believed to be her niece, after injuring the father. The man ran towards the government quatters housing families of state. 118. THREE TUPAI GANG MEMBERS SHOT DEAD Selangor - Police killed three members of the notorious Tupai Gang; including its leader in a shootout. The gang comprising at least 20 Indonesian immigrants was believed to have been responsible for burglaries and armed robberies in homes in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Johor. In the shootout, three of the group members were said to have robbed a family in Sri Kembangan of RMl,000.00, jewellery, camera handphones and other items. One of the Selangor D9 officer's team spotted the suspects in a dark blue Proton Wira in Sri Kembangan and tailed them. POLICE SHOOT DEAD FLEEING ROBBER Petaling Jaya - Police shot dead a robber who was trying to flee with an accomplice on a motorcycle, minutes after they grabbed RM1mil from the Bandar Sri Damansara Maybank branch along Jalan Tanjung. The 32 year old robber's motorcycle crashed by road shoulder after he was shot about 200m away from the bank. His accomplice, also 32 who was riding a pillion, was sent flying from the machine. BANK ROBBER KILLED IN SHOOT-OUT Kuala Lumpur - Police shot dad a wanted armed robber while his accomplice surrendered after the duo had robbed a Maybank branch in Bandar Sri Damansara. The duo . were leaving on the r way out of the bank when they spotted policemen and fired several shots. The policemen returned fire hitting one of them in stomach. 122 . ROBBER SHOT DEAD ON MONDAY WAS A HOGH STAKES BANDIT The armed robber who was shot dead after a heist was a high roller who loved the fast life. A son in law of a Senator who was also a former State Assemblymen. Teng Mun Hoong, 32 is believed to have gone into armed robbery to feed his gambling habit. Teng and his accomplice fired at the policemen using the pumpageun which they had snatched from the bank's security guard. 123. GUNRUNNERS SLAIN Kuala Lumpur - Two gunrunners, one of them the mastermind of a major crime syndicate, were killed in a shootout with police after a high speed car chase in Bentong, Pahang. Police recovered four guns, l98 rounds of ammunition and several bullet shells from the scene. The two me n were identified as Ten Chin Choy, 53, of Kepong and Lim Heng Chew, 45, of Setapak Kuala Lumpur. The operation (Ops Obor Timur) was headed by Senior Asst Comm 1 Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Hassan. According to the police, when they identified themselves the two men in the vehicle sped off and they chased at high speed for several kilometres. The chase ended when the vehicle turned turtle after ramming into a railing. The two men crawled out from the 4WD and one of them took out a pump gun while the other whipped out a Norinco and fired at the police. Police returned fire and shot dead the duo. NOTORIOUS GANG LEADER SHOT DEAD Klang - A notorious gang leader high on the wanted list for several violent crimes around the district was killed in a shootout with police at Taman Sentosa. The man known only as Sakhti who hails from Kapar, was spotted in a Proton Satria by policemen in a patrol at Taman Sentosa at 8.40 am He ignored a police order to stop and sped off, He got off from his car brandishing a revolver after realising the presence of another patrol car. 125. GANG LEADER, CHINDIAN SHOT DEAD The 08 Gang leader, Ong Thong Lee alias Sathiya Seelen went down in a hail of police fire. Ong 27, better known as Chindian in Underworld fraternity met his Waterloo in Taman Sentosa, Klang when he was cornered by a police team in Jalan Dateo Yusuf Shahbuddin 28.
